Areas of practice
At the centre of her work is process design: making it possible for parties not merely to close a dispute but to reach a resolution that keeps the relationship and the institution standing. Her cases span corporate, commercial, consumer and workplace disputes, M&A negotiations, and sectors from agriculture and finance to impact investment.
She works where the stakes are highest: multi-party negotiations, family governance and institutional conflict. Her approach draws in equal measure on legal expertise, negotiation strategy and cultural intelligence, making her one of the rare practitioners who bridges sectors, disciplines and cultures.
Governance and family advisory
Since 2007 she has designed governance structures, family constitutions and conflict resolution frameworks for businesses at every stage. The systems she builds align values, protect relationships and sustain institutional integrity across generations. Ombudsman system design and stakeholder trust-building form an integral part of this work.
Teaching and academia
She serves as a mediator trainer at Istanbul Bilgi University and contributed as key expert to "Better Access to Justice in Turkey," a project run by the European Union and the Turkish Ministry of Justice. Since 2009 she has acted as judge, evaluator and mentor at ICC, CDRC, IBA-VIAC, INADR, ADR ODR International and CEDR, helping shape the next generation of mediators.
Speaking and engagements
She delivers keynote presentations at global conferences and leads mediation and negotiation workshops, certification programmes for professionals, and university collaborations. She accepts speaking invitations on the future of dispute resolution, climate governance, cross-cultural negotiation and the impact of artificial intelligence on law.
Approach
The complex disputes of our age demand multidimensional and inclusive solutions. Creating resolution is no longer a choice; it is a systemic responsibility.
She works in Turkish and English and conducts cross-border negotiations in both languages. For enquiries, write to ferdapaksoy@adristanbul.com.
